About the Event
The East Bay Holocaust Education Center is honored to host the Violins of Hope as it returns to Livermore and the East Bay on its world tour for concerts, exhibits, talks, and school visits during October and November 2026. Meet Avshi Weinstein, co-founder of the Violins of Hope program, for an evening exploring the history of remarkable instruments that survived the Holocaust and the stories of their original owners.
The violins will be on display at the Bankhead Theatre from October 13–November 5, 2026, courtesy of The East Bay Holocaust Education Center. These instruments have survived concentration camps, ghettos, pogroms, and many long journeys to tell remarkable stories of injustice, suffering, resilience, and survival. Join us for a rare opportunity to see some of these instruments in person.
